Schlaf in hellen Nächten. Und andere Unregelmäßigkeiten. In der Schnittmenge zwischen Wirklichkeit und Traum liegt all der Boden, aus dem morgendliche Ruhelosigkeit sprießt und wuchert und dornig über Haut kratzt und die Sicht verengt. Unten grummelt Badewasser in alten Rohren, eine Tür schließt, eine gesichtslose Stimme gähnt laut und jedes Gähnen ist ohnehin ansteckend, ganz gleich, wie viel Struktur und Abstand zu trennen scheint. Immer wieder Kaffee, immer wieder Seesterntasse, immer wieder diesselbe Tischdecke und diesselbe Routenlosigkeit und diesselbe Stille, bevor sich der Sonnenaufgang einfinden mag. Habt es mild heute!

Very much later again. Thoughts and pulse back to normal speed. A lots of notes taken and filed for another day. A candle flickering on the windowsill, small island rocks casting archaic shadows, a strong yearning for the sea once more. Watching the street sink into sleepy darkness, late commuters returning home, old and new neighbours concluding their days, students powering down their computers and moving on to more convenient tasks. Different facets same hour and a cautious flirt with a cold bright moon. Have a pleasant night everyone wherever you are.

Pausenzeichen nach langen Stunden. Abendverkehr, Scheinwerfer unten in den Häuserschluchten. Beobachter mit Abstand, erstaunt über die Bilder, die das Büroviertel dem fliehenden Tag offenbart. Überreizt und benommen. Unordnung auf dem Schreibtisch, Unordnung im Postfach, neue und alte offene Enden und von allem viel mehr, als sich im Heute noch sinnvoll greifen lässt. Weiter auf kaltem Beton. Quer durch die Stadt, noch nicht angekommen, noch nicht zufrieden mit dem Stand der Dinge.

Andere Stunde, andere Wege, neue Schlaglöcher, Spaziergänge abseits des geplanten Kurses. Rotes Fähnchen irgendwo in Sichtweite. Metaphorischer Nebel und keine richtige Vorstellung vom Terrain zwischen hier und dort. Annäherung in großen Schleifen. Jede Menge Gegenwind und wechselnde Licht und der eigene Schatten bleibt auch keine verlässliche Größe. Und irgendwann öffnet man die Fenster und lässt etwas mehr des äußeren Tages in die Räume, etwas der Kälte unter blassem Himmel und des rauhen Gemurmels geschäftigen Alltags im Viertel. Ändert Verbindungen. Für kurz. Damit Geist und Seele atmen können.

Ein Griff an den Kessel, ein kurzer punktueller Schmerz beseitigt Unsicherheiten über schon Erledigtes und synchronisiert inneren und äußeren Zustand. Kaffee ebnet zerknittertes Denken, und für manche Themen braucht die Stunde noch keinen Raum. Habt es mild heute!

Another deep breath at the edge of night. Mostly calmed down, different kind of journeys different kinds of travelling, even though with the days noticing how much mind and thoughts are used to that jumping monkey mode of operation, that clumsy juggling of plenty of tasks at once that keeps filling the bright conscious hours. Somewhat exhausted, exercises in silence by following the lines of writings on old pages, fingers tapping words, inhaling the scent of the paper and the cover and the years the summers the autumns summed up in it. A dream but without a script. Hopefully? Sleep tight everyone wherever you are!

Gelbe Linien weiße Linien und darunter tiefschwarzer Asphalt, man meint raumlos zu schweben und gewisse Sinne müssen von Wahrnehnumg dieses Umstands abgelenkt werden. Zu viel Nähe, insgesamt; hinter dem Lichterkegel und grauem Stahl rasen Bäume vorüber, Scherenschnitt gegen den matten Himmel einer traumhellen frühen Nacht. Zwei Hügel weiter, zwei Brücken weiter, Baustellenkräne, menschenleere Kreuzungen. Kaltes Vorstadtschweigen an einem späten Mittwoch.
