Guess it can't be stressed enough that security of a communication tool isn't just about audited, reliable program code, verified (ideally: proven) crypto algorithms but also about sane means of client-side protection and overally a full system - including clients /and/ servers - that has this mindset baked in end to end.

it’s a good start but it’s still centralized and vulnerable to censorship. Signal is blocked or restricted in China, Iran, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, Russia, Cuba, Uzbekistan

Decentralized and federated is better!
