Also, thanks to the now more prevalent quoting feature, posts that used to go unseen and filtered away before by muting or blocking accounts will merrily pop up again because people won't refrain from quoting certain annoying accounts and I wonder whether this is a general problem or just a #Friendica issue but it's just annoying as can be and calls for muting a lot more accounts I wouldn't want to be muted otherwise. 😔

@maique Worst thing actually is: Looking through my timelines at least on what they call the Fediverse, it seems this kind of behaviour has been increasing the last months, introducing a generally more "toxic" climate and making a lot of people who were inspiring and welcome out here either withdraw or delete their accounts or just went quiet. Maybe it's really a matter of (lack of) culture in communication and we aren't able to talk to each other respectfully anymore.

@maique It's ... in a way a luxury problem then again, I guess, but it's annoying and I haven't found good ways to get rid of this. I'm on a (Friendica) instance of my own and I've just, so far... been very moderate about blocking and muting accounts because there really are /few/ people who /never/ have anything respectful to say, so maybe it's just my issue after all. (Too, however... I'm again and again confused, annoyed, disappointed to see how many journalists are among those adhering to this style of communication... like, also, finding very easy answers to difficult topics... finding one or two individuals to blame for that... and then keeping on pouring hate on them for days, weeks, months, usually merrily echoed by their cheer group. I'd expect something else from a journalist who should know about this kind of mechanisms, and it feels hard not wanting to see some sort of agenda here...)
