I was just saying this in another thread about why I haven't been able to get more people on Mastodon. How do we begin to change this? I'm willing to help fund an effort to do so, if funding is the problem.
Agreed, but another option is that there's no consensus that the UI/UX needs to change. Tim has posted these issues in a reasonably diplomatic way with seemingly no traction. What else could we do?
@fotoFi Yes.. unfortunately I think there are too many things for which there's no consensus. Like, starting with that "one" instance to ease onboarding. Or virtually any aspect that relates to easing discovery for users or topics. That's what leaves me kind of disappointed at this stage. It seems like ... well, I'd be grateful to be proven wrong but relating to some of these aspects, I've far more often been told that this "is just how decentralization works" rather than seeing even remotely serious attempts to improve on that. π @Tim Chambers
