The Hubzilla Association held its General Assembly on January 16th, 2026. There, we decided the following upcoming plans for 2026:

• Hubzilla Survey 2026: With this survey, we want to get more clear about
  • the target group: Who should we aim the development of the software for? (Which use cases should be satisfied?)
  • with which convincing features we can approach the target group. (Popular satisfactory features)
  • the demands for improvement of existing features and for missing features. This knowledge can become the basis for future fundraising campaigns.
• Hubzilla Meetup 2026: An informal social gathering and meeting in real live of Hubzilla Users, Admins and Developpers.
  • By meeting in real life, participants of the Meetup strengthen their relationships. This is considered helpful for future collaborations.
  • The Meetup might initiate some future developments of the Hubzilla project.
  • The Meetup might motivate Hubzilla Users, Admins and Developpers to become part of the Hubzilla Association.
• Looking into a better solution for translating the user interface of the software.

You can already look forward to the implementation of these plans. We would be delighted if many of you could participate and / or attend. Please bear with us for another week or two before we announce the date and location of the Hubzilla Meetup.
