After discussing Facebook use cases again, I've ended up with a scenario I tried myself, quite once in a while, earlier. Option (a): People want to sometimes completely hide every single post they did, making sure, for an indefinite period of time, no one is able to see anything they posted there at all. Option (b): People want to retroactively hide, say, friends-only posts from a particular friend or contact that shouldn't be seeing this or another post. So, wondering: Is any of this possible with any of the current federated / open social networks? What to recommend to someone who would like to have this feature available, for whichever reasons? At least with the systems I tried, it seems impossible.
