1. Picture tags are now included in the RSS feed.
2. If you tag a pic with "nsfw", it’ll receive a special little NSFW UI treatment (blurred, and with an NSFW label), and in the RSS feed the text "NSFW" will appear in place of the image (but the link to the image will remain in place).

This. And for recommending FLOSS projects to actual end users, this would be something to definitely take into consideration with a decent priority.
Maybe we should establish a "maintenance.md" practice just like "readme.md" or "LICENSE" where you just clearly outline the amount of maintenance the project/development team are planning to put into the code base and under which conditions.
I have seen that a few times but maybe it should be more of a standard.

Dann wieder ernsthafterer Ausstieg aus dem Schlaf, später früher Morgen, eigenes Kopfkissen und die Vertrautheit der Wände, die es umgeben. Wenig Träume in bunter Unruhe, erste Bewegungen durch immer noch kühlen Flur, Wasser über Augen Wangen Hände. An der Kreuzung inspizieren Krähen das Umfeld des Mülleimers, beobachtet von einem großen Hund, der respektvoll auf Abstand bleibt. Das Viertel gähnt und streckt sich unter trüben Himmeln, immer noch vor dem ersten Kaffee. Habt es mild heute.

Später Exkurs in die Samstagsstadt: Wenn öffentliche Elektronik neu startet, schimmert digitale Infrastruktur durch, sichtbar für neugierige ebenso wie besorgte Blicke. Noch einige wenige Kunden im Supermarkt des geringsten Misstrauens, das Personal hat selbst gut gefüllte Warenkörbe, die Dienstverweigerung der Selbstzahlerterminals nimmt man gar nicht mehr wahr. Notwendigkeiten und anderes, schneller Weg entlang am Band. Und zurück ins Betondunkel.

Not all software is trash-tier quality but we are nowhere close to the reliability and determinism you'd expect for any engineering field. And its not getting any better with all the deregulation and outsourcing to contractors.

For the software managing, for example, the timing of fuel injectors and spark plugs in all modern internal combustion engines, the engineers will have a very high (and justifiably high) level of confidence in how it will behave.
That's built on a great deal of work to measure things like the behaviour of raw materials (electronic components) including failure rates and conditions, model the behaviour of the system in a range of scenarios, and test the product at multiple stages during both design and manufacture.
All the same processes that give confidence in the construction of a bridge.
In neither case will these efforts always manage to catch every single unintended outcome. A _fairly_ recent example would be the London millennium bridge, a footbridge over the Thames, which happened to have a resonant frequency at around people's walking pace, and had to have dampers added after construction to prevent an unpleasant rocking motion.
