An old brick building on Park Lane, tucked away behind the tenements on Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow, which may have once served as a stables
The curve on the lower section was designed to allow horse drawn carts to negotiate the corner without damaging it, while a lambs tongue provides a transition to a right-angled corner higher up, so giving the first floor more floor space.
This upper floor was probably a hayloft, and still has the beam from which the hoist was originally suspended to allow hay to be pulled up and through the door just below it.
Since the 1980s, this building has been home to the Park Lane Studio, where the likes of Primal Scream, Deacon Blue and Del Amitri have recorded music.

Different evening same place and feet on cold stones. Densely grown meadows, still felt in all of its presence. Silence on the street, silence on the village square. When I traveled, I used to take photographs of places of historic and artistic interest, often around the edges of Europe.
Since the Marshall Fire on Dec 30 2021 all of the photos I have taken have been related to the fire, or the reconstruction of my house and land, or things seen from my house and property.

I'm so glad I got that picture: that perfect combination of the height of the clouds, the gap above the mountains, and the angle of the sun behind the mountains only lasted a few minutes.

Always an interesting experience: While positive feedback is very much welcome and shared around, it seems hard to impossible to, on the #Fediverse, get discussions started on flaws or shortcomings that might need or benefit from improvement beyond individual instances or pieces of software. Not really "bad" after reaching a certain point of acceptance, but still feels weird and more than just a bit unwelcoming in many ways.
For me it came down to the user interface. Simplicity above all, at least for me, and uncluttered with features I wouldn't even use anyway. Like cross-posting to proprietary platforms, that sort of stuff.
I tried several of the "fediverse" platforms and ran into complexity and clutter and about gave up on it until I found #diaspora. The user interface is easy, simple, and clean. I can do "groups" using #Aspects (categories of contacts I share with) as easily as I used to do with Fakebook.
Long may diaspora live - but I'm not optimistic about that, and if/when it "dies," I'll probably not bother with the others.
I'm actually on Friendica because it allows me to stay in touch with Diaspora friends too. But I feel you. And a lot of things throughout the Fediverse unfortunately are cluttered and could be way better with just little polish, but its really really hard to achieve especially if you're not a developer or designer and all resources at hand are ... limited.
