!Friendica Support Seeing github.com/friendica/friendica… with @Pachli (thanks @Kristian 🌒 for reporting) and wondering, if state is not implemented according to what mastodon api is expecting, this would mean friendica will have trouble with any mastodon client, right?

Too, it seems @Pachli at the moment is the only client to handle things as strict as this; I have never seen this issue popping up in #fedilab, #tusky or #moshidon by now. Not sure how well these generally support quoted posts, then again.

it looks like (still travelling, haven't investigated this in detail) that the non-Mastodon platforms don't support the idea of "This post contains a quote, but you can't see it, but we're going to tell you there is a missing quote because otherwise the original post might look weird".

It would be helpful if someone reading this thread can post some links to posts on Friendica (or other servers) that exhibit this problem (either here, or on the GitHub issue).

@Pachli I'll see if I manage to get hold of one. It's been a bit tough to identify such a post because having one of these around would render /all/ of the corresponding timeline unusable in Pachli and other clients don't expose that behaviour. (I'm also more back to Fedilab at the moment because there are some things unique to it, despite it being quite slow and not very much maintained at the moment...)
